This pike is, at first glance, completely normal. It is only when using it in battle, one notices that the haft has an extreme amount of flex.
These were originally designed in Khitai as training spears for the monks who followed Yun, the god of death. The flexible haft was used to perform death defying leaps over the spiked, burning sacrifice pits that burn outside the main temple building in Paikang.
Using this pike gives the wielder a boost to agility.
