They call them the Watchers. They cannot be seen, but their abysmal and blasphemous forms are myriad. They lurk in the outer darkness of formless voids and nighted gulfs, and they watch.
They always watch. Drawn to the flickering flames of human lives like moths to a candle - they wait for their chance to be noticed. To be brought in from the void. To be... whole.
Sometimes, it is said, they manifest in the physical realm. Here they are helped by willing humans who give up the flesh of their own bodies for the Watchers to inhabit.
Wearing this tunic shows a deliberate association with the Cult of the Watchers - even indicating a wish to be a vessel for a Watcher one day.
