The reward for completing this journey is the Purple Lotus Orb recipe.
Completing this journey will also unlock the Beast Master and Overlord journeys.

Use a Truncheon to knock out a Fighter or Archer | To attain the services of a thrall, you must first convert them. Use a truncheon to knock them out and then drag them to a Wheel of Pain. | 150 | |

Convert a warrior | Use your bindings on an unconscious human fighter or archer, then drag them to your Wheel of Pain. There, they will be broken over time and become thralls in your employ. Drag enemies by equipping your Binding and interacting {InteractKey} with the unconscious body. |

Obtain Gruel | Gruel is one of the most basic food-types available. Place Plant Fiber, Seeds and fuel in the Campfire's inventory and activate it by pressing the Play button. After the gruel has cooked, take it from the Campfire's inventory for yourself. |

Put Gruel into a Wheel of Pain | Gruel lasts for a long time, and is perfect for enemies in the Wheel of Pain. Foods are used up in the conversion process for a thrall, and you may need to cook a lot of gruel to make sure the conversion finishes. |

Place a thrall in the world | Fighters, Archers, Bearers, and Dancers can be placed in the world and commanded to follow you. You can place them by assigning them to a shortcut slot and placing them from there. | 500 | |

Instruct a thrall to follow you | After you have placed your thrall, approach them, and press {CommandsMenu} to interact with them. You may instruct a thrall to follow you by holding down the {CommandsMenu} and choosing 'Follow' from the radial menu. |

Instruct a thrall to attack | While following you, thralls can be instructed to perform tasks. You may hold down {CommandsMenu} and command your thrall from there, or pressing {CommandsMenu} once, twice, or thrice to quickly command your thrall to perform tasks, such as moving to a location or attacking an enemy. | 750 | |

Convert a crafter | Drag a captured enemy crafter to your Wheel of Pain and interact {InteractKey} with it. This places the enemy in the wheel and you begin the process of breaking them so they will serve you as thralls. | 875 | |
