Description
A Taskmaster can be placed in the Thrall slot of the Lesser Wheel of Pain, Wheel of Pain, Greater Wheel of Pain and Torturer's Worktable.
Taskmasters in the Torturer's Worktable increase the durability of all items crafted in the bench and the concussion damage of Iron Truncheons and Steel Truncheons slightly.
T4 Taskmasters have 2 different specializations:
- Drivers increase the bonus concussion damage of truncheons crafted in the Torturer's Worktable the furthest (about 22%).
- Overseers increase the bonus durability of truncheons crafted in the Torturer's Worktable the furthest (about 44%).
Benefits
- There are now 2 types of Taskmaster with different bonuses:
- A Driver provides the best increase of the concussion damage of any crafted piece in the Torturer's Worktable.
- A Overseer provides the best increase of the durability of any crafted piece in the Torturer's Worktable.
1 This is probably a bug or oversight and will likely get fixed in a future patch.
2 The bonus is added to the base concussion damage of the weapon, so either Iron Truncheon or Steel Truncheon. The eventual output is determined by the target's armor. Taskmasters do not increase the concussion damage bonus from kits such as Blunted Weapon Fitting, their bonus does however get doubled by the Thuggery Perk. This means they apply the strongest relative bonus when no kits or oils are being used, but the bonus is comparatively small.
Explanatory Addendum
For instance, if it would require to turn a thrall within 25 hours, then a 50% crafting speed increase would cut that time down from 25h to 16h 40mins. The formula is essentially time needed divided by 1+% increase depending on the Thrall in question. For a Purge T4 Taskmaster this equals reducing the time needed through 4 instead of 1, so the Thrall from our example would take 6h 15mins. A regular T4 Taskmaster would instead require 8h and 20mins. This also means that the raw time needed decreases further between a Purge T4 and a regular T4 than it would for a T4 compared to a T3.
Bonus Recipe
T3 or higher Taskmasters provide the Recipe for Chain Bindings when placed in Torturer's Worktable.
