Taming

Taming is the process by which a baby animal becomes an adult pet in Conan Exiles.

Description

From the most docile to the most dangerous beasts and creatures alike, the Player can tame a loyal companion to follow them into battle or a fierce guardian to defend that which is most sacred to them.

Crafting

A Player will start their career as a Beastmaster by building the appropriate shelter to house and tame their new future friends:

•  Stables are for foals only. There is only 1 tier and 1 available pen to hold the pet.
• To breed the  Shaggai Larvae you need the  Beehive or  Improved Beehive.
• Animal Pens are for most other pets. They come in 4 different tiers:
  •  Small Animal Pen ^{1 available pen}
  •  Animal Pen ^{5 available pen}
  •  Reinforced Animal Pen ^{5 available pen}
  •  Armored Animal Pen ^{5 available pen}

Feeding

Placing a baby pet into the appropriate shelter will not, on its own, start the taming process. Certain foods must also be placed in the shelter with the baby in order to have it grow into a trusty adult companion over time. Each baby animal has a preferred set of foods and feeding them certain foods will give some baby pets an increased chance of growing into a greater and/or more powerful version of that pet.
