Yezud is the central hub of worship for the spider-god Zath. The temple there is a marble-domed wonder and within is a black statue of the spider god. It is said in Yezud that the statue awakens at night and goes into the tunnels beneath the temple to feed upon a full head of cattle that have been driven there by the locals.
This statue does not awaken to terrorize panicked bovines, but it is impressive, nonetheless.
