This shell, taken from a Shaleback Hatchling, is brittle and easily chipped. It cannot be used to make weapons or armor nor is it useful for potions or food. Essentially a baby Shaleback was killed for no reason. Way to go.

- You can harvest Shaleback Hatchling Shells from Shaleback Hatchlings, but the drop chance is only 1%, making them quite rare as a harvestable.
- You may find them inside Darfari loot chests.
- Shells can also be dropped from Wights in the Unnamed City or Frost Giants.
