Description
The serpents of the Exiled Lands vary in the potency of their venom from mildly irritating to lethal. The use of serpent venom for coating weapons before battle is a myth. Venom needs to be injected directly into the blood to have an effect and the act of plunging a weapon into a body is a far more efficient way to damage foes than to wait for a slow acting venom. Alchemists and healers, however, do tout the efficacy of ingesting small amounts of venom to build an immunity. It is said that King Yezdigerd of Turan ritually ingests small amounts of many different poisons to build his protection against assassination attempts.
