What is strength? I find myself pondering that question more and more as the days turn.
I've seen strong, confident men killed because they tried to fight when they should have run away. I've seen those who people consider weak, sharing their food with others and gaining their gratitude and protection.
In the past, I was a blacksmith and I was considered the strongest man in my village. But I sold a sword to the wrong man, and ended up here.
And now that I am here, I see clearly that it is the things that I know - how to work the forge and the creation of weapons and tools - that carries true value.
Knowledge is strength. That is the lesson.
