Description[]
A decent-sized rock-beast that loves the desert. It is very hostile and will spot players from quite a distance.
Mainly inhabiting the desert areas of the map, rocknoses are a mediocre threat.
Combat[]
- They mainly attack by hitting a player with their spiky nose.
- They can knock the player down with a charge attack.
Notes[]
The stone-like body of a Rocknose can absorb more hits than a normal monster and its charge-up hits can pack a punch. Most iron and steel melee weapons would prove effective in combat, but getting up close can be risky without the proper armor. If your protection is less than ideal, you can utilize rocks for their height advantage and carry out ranged attacks on the beast.
The best early game attack strategy is using a pike and strafing technique, and simply manage your stamina as you chip away. The Rocknose attacks are very consistent and slow, making them easy to dodge, especially at close range.
To harvest materials, the ideal tool is a pickaxe or a cleaver for just the head.
