Description[]

The Pools of the Grey Ones is a large ruin dominating the center of the Isle of Dawn. The southern section of the area contains three shallow, circular pools on elevated platforms. Each platform contains a pedestal, which can be used to summon select bosses. The area is home to and guarded by Grey Ones.

Bosses[]

Placing a Figurine on the pedestal summons the corresponding boss in the center of the pool, which can be done repeatedly. This is an effective method of reliably farming rare items such as a  Fragment of Power or  Schematics Fragment. In addition, most bosses drop quantities of  Brimstone,  Black Ice,  Demon Blood and  Raw Ash, making the pools a viable way to obtain large quantities of these resources.

Trivia[]

The Pools, along with the Grey Ones themselves, are a reference to Robert E. Howard's The Pool of the Black Ones. The titular pool is used in a ritual to transmute captured humans into odd statues, similar to the Figurines found on the Isle of Siptah's sub-islands.
