The Night of Lost Souls was a limited-time in-game event that ran from the 31st of October to the 6th of November in 2018 to celebrate Halloween.[1]

- Added new music and sound effects.
- Added new Main menu graphics.
- Changed the lighting to a perpetual, gloomy twilight.
- Torches burned with a purple light.
- The moon never set and bore a skull face.
- Meteors would fall from the skies in specific areas, containing different kinds of loot and goodies.
- The
Potion of Lost Souls could be harvested from meteors. - Opening doors would cause an animation of bats flying through the door.
Event[]
The main event during the Night of Lost Souls where the periodic meteor storms. The meteors could be picked for a large quantity of loot, including various resources, 
Pebblenoses, 
Skeleton Keys and the unique Potion of Lost Souls.
Feedback[]
Though many players enjoyed the event, part of the community were very critical of the event as it interfered with normal gameplay and the meteors provided such good loot that it upended the in-game economy.
Due to the negative feedback, Funcom decided not to run any more holiday events.
In an acknowledgement of the poor reception to the event, Funcom posted an April Fools' joke the following April 1st announcing a rerun of the event, except with everything made even worse.[2]
