Mini Bosses can often be distinguished from afar by their larger size, unique coloration, and/or glowing eyes compared to that of normal creatures of the same type. These mini bosses have increased health/damage output and one skull next to their health bar indicating a more challenging difficulty. They can spawn both randomly and in dedicated locations around the open map in world; sometimes as part of a pack or herd of normal creatures of the same type. Mini Bosses can be looted or harvested for more resources than their standard counterparts in addition to rarer materials such as 
Exotic Flesh or 
Demon Blood, or unique items such as the
Heart of a Hero. Can be animal or humanoid.
