The Map is a game mechanic in Conan Exiles. It displays any explored area of the Exiled Lands. Locations will appear as they are discovered and Map Markers may be used to keep track of any points of interest.
The Player Marker shows you where you are. Instead of a crosshair, consoles show a 'Mouse Cursor'.
Interactive Map
This is the in-game map of the Exiled Lands, with all Locations, Thrall and Pet spawns. You can filter the markers on the map with the dialog at the top-right of the map (needs JavaScript enabled).

Coordinates
The map of the Exiled Lands has a coordinate system built into the game.
In singleplayer you can access the game coordinates by using the admin command ToggleDebugHUD
Coordinate Use
For the sake of simplicity, the coordinates referenced on maps by this wiki:
- Are one thousandth of the value used in-game.
- Do not provide the Z-coordinate.
As an example, the page for New Asagarth states the coordinates to be
-76, -47
In-game, the admin command ToggleDebugHUD
command will show the location as something like
-76,728.219 -46,445.949 -387.23
Using the admin command Teleport
to go somewhere is generally slower and less intuitive than using Admin Teleport to teleport there.
Map Marker
Map Markers can be added to the in-game map, in order to set custom waypoints or notes.
There is a limit of 50 Map Markers that can be placed on the map.
Delete Marker
Deleting map markers is currently bugged on the PC version, but there are two workarounds, listed below:[5]
|
Map Markers are deleted by right clicking on an existing marker and selecting the Cancel icon and the Delete button.
Notes
- No new biomes are planned at this time.[6] New dungeons, however, are (see Upcoming features).
- Areas outside the Exiled Lands -mostly the top right corner of the map- are being used to 'hide' the dungeons, which are not directly visible, but have a building which acts as marker above their location.
- Inside the render distance, a dungeon -or a different map expansion- would be loaded together with all other content, causing a performance decrease. The Unreal Engine also loads things in using a distance check which is done in the XY axis only (Z being up and down), so lowering something below the map will not matter.
- The size of the map is just about hitting the actual limit of 400k x 400k - after that, Unreals' physics start misbehaving. For example, on the eastern-most islands, corpses tend to fall through the ground sometimes. Newer versions of UE are said to cope better with these problems. However, it would take a huge investment to move the game to a newer version of the engine.
- Areas outside the Exiled Lands -mostly the top right corner of the map- are being used to 'hide' the dungeons, which are not directly visible, but have a building which acts as marker above their location.
- The true location of each dungeon is displayed in their Media section. An overview can be achieved by selecting World Bosses under Misc on the Interactive Map at the top of this page.
- While you are in a dungeon, the map pointer still points to a location near to where you entered. The way it works is that there is a 'dungeon table' which has a MinX, MinY and MaxX, MaxY and an override location. It will keep correcting this, as long as you are in the Min / Max range.
