To journey across the Thurian continent is a long and perilous task. Only the most hardened or desperate of mercenaries take work protecting the jade and silk-laden caravans that set out from mysterious empire of Khitai.
The arduous journey takes its toll upon their armor and thus certain smiths and leatherworkers of the west have become specialists in its repair. In time, they have even learned to replicate it to some level of success.
The overlapping leather on these tassets provide good protection against blows, but it is the slits that allow free movement and the free flow of air.
Coupled with silken leggings, this can be an incredible boon when crossing the scorching deserts of eastern Shem.
