Description[]
“ | I've looted enough from the Khitan caravans to know what I'm talking about,' he asserted. 'That's jade! | „ |
~ Red Nails |
To journey across the Thurian continent is a long and perilous task. Only the most hardened or desperate of mercenaries take work protecting the jade and silk-laden caravans that set out from mysterious empire of Khitai.
The arduous journey takes its toll upon their armor and thus certain smiths and leatherworkers of the west have become specialists in its repair. In time, they have even learned to replicate it to some level of success.
The left bracer is stiff leather to protect the freehand, while the right is a more flexible form of padding - allowing greater blade maneuverability during combat.
Light armor provides the most flexibility and range of movement in combat, but at the cost of significant protection in battle.
