Like the longsword of the west, the jian is a double-bladed, straight weapon. Beyond that they vary wildly from grooved blades to smooth blades, long hilts to short hilts, one-handed and two-handed variations.
Bearing the mark of a master craftsman of Chosain Province in Khitai, this jian is of fine quality.
