The Emperor of Khitai, Li-Yah, rules from the city of Paikang. His Imperial Legion guard him every moment of every day, hard-bitten warriors who rotate between duty in the imperial city and fighting off Hyrkanians on the Great Wall.
This armor, worn only when guarding his imperial majesty or members of his family, is designed to offer maximum defense while being tasteful enough to avoid offending the sensibilities of those not used to the shedding of blood.
The helm, inlaid with bronze highlights, keeps the neck and cheeks protected while leaving the face free to scan the imperial compound for assassins and other threats.
