Forgetting to feed a group of dangerous creatures is usually not a problem for a very long time. Those who do, return to find a much smaller group of satiated and passive creatures. To prevent this from happening, a stockpile of feed can be left behind in a box. That way the creatures that are still alive after the inevitable bloodbath will last a while longer. Efficient.

- Pets do gain buffs and heal from eating preferred foods see Pet for more details.
- A preferred use of the feed box is to add food prior to a purge or PvP time to buff all pets within the set area, then remove the food afterwards.
- The
Thrall Pot and Feed Box were originally implemented into the game along with a starvation mechanic for followers as a means to clear them from inactive clans, however, due to performance issues and a poor reception, the starvation mechanic was removed and replaced with a general abandonment timer.
