Description
The rituals of Derketo are often mocked by outsiders who do not understand the pleasures and lusts of the goddess. This feast, however, typifies the food served at the revels and orgies of the goddess. No rich or fatty foods here, no. This meal is designed to titillate and preserve the participants, awakening the tingling warmth of the goddess inside them and giving them the stamina to proceed through the night.
Only untutored fools think that the men and women who laze around the gauzy temples of Derketo are recovering from a night of strong wine.
