Growing plants with Planter and Compost Heap.

Hungry, thirsty, and alone. Your very first battle in Conan Exiles is that against the harsh environment. Grow crops for food. Band together with other players to build entire settlements and strongholds to withstand fierce invasions.

Whilst harvesting wild plants, occasionally seeds will also be harvested. These seeds can be grown to produce additional resource. Whilst this isn't especially useful for the more common plants, it can prove very handy for rarer plants, increasing the amount of resources available.

How to Farm

Build and place a Compost Heap and use that to create  Compost and  Potent Compost. Some seeds will only grow with regular compost and other seeds will only grow with potent compost. These are categorised below.

Next place a Crude Planter, Planter, or Improved Planter to grow the crops. Add the seeds to the planter along with the correct compost for that crop type. Over time, the seeds & compost will grow into the plant, which can be removed from the inventory of the planter and used.

Although their descriptions imply that higher quality planters can grow crops faster, the actual intention was that higher quality planters would be able to grow more than one plant at the same time. Regardless, the only functional difference between the three buildable planters at this time is the number of inventory slots and hit points.
