Description[]
The berries of true mandrake must be taken from the resting place of a dead man by the light of the moon. False mandrake berries are much simpler to harvest and can be used to create a purple dye. Some have suggested that the intense blooming of False Mandrake along the banks of the Vilayet during spring is a simple explanation for the fabled purple sails of the Turanian fleet. However, alchemists argue that the purple comes from the properties of the pitch found in the region.
Notes[]
This wide grey bush can be found in areas throughout the Green North (Highlands).
