Description[]
Sometimes the greatest results occur when disciplines collide. Alchemy and herbalism, for example. Masonry and smithing to take another.
The delving bench is for those who wish to explore the deeper properties and interactions of items and materials. Experimentation can lead to great results - but there is always risk involved as well.
Notes[]
- The Delving Bench allows you to use
Decaying Eldarium to research recipes for a range of high-level equipment. - The process:
- Place an eligible, fully-repaired item and 50
Decaying Eldarium onto the Delving Bench. - Wait for the crafting process to complete.
- The retrieve-only output inventory of the Delving Bench will receive the original item, broken and with any installed equipment upgrades removed.
- The same output inventory has a chance to contain a random recipe for an item of the corresponding type.
- Recipes are not guaranteed and some delving attempts will only consume the
Decaying Eldarium and break the item.
- Place an eligible, fully-repaired item and 50
Only some items are eligible for use in the Delving Bench and input items must be at 100% durability to start the crafting process. Nothing will happen if no eligible item or insufficient eldarium is present on the Delving Bench and crafting will begin immediately once both are present.
The Delving Bench's removal of equipment upgrades provides a way to replace an otherwise permanent upgrade with a more desirable one or to make it usable with applied items like poisons and oils.
The Delving Bench recipe is found at the Goblin Ley-Shrine.
Xbox bug: On the Xbox client, default focus for the Delving Bench is applied to the initially invisible output inventory of the bench. This means the typical way of quick-moving items (RT) won't work and the controller cursor for a manual item move will seem to disappear when navigating to the bench. Pressing up when the cursor is "lost" will go to the input inventory for the bench and allow manual placement of items and eldarium.
