- This knowledge is learned by interacting with one of the two Black Hand Banners on the northern side of The Black Galleon, near the catwalk leading to Voyager's Vigil.

Isle of Siptah
- This knowledge is learned by reading Scroll (Black Hand Banners) which is dropped by certain enemies during a level 1 Surge of the North-East.
- Alternatively, it can be obtained via Schematics Fragments. Combining 5 fragments has a chance of resulting in Scroll (Black Hand Banners) which teaches the Black Hand Banners (Knowledge) when used.
