The Black Dragons are the elite troops of Aquilonia, charged with guarding the Royal family until death. They are well respected throughout Tarantia and the realm, and the king sends them to serve his justice to bandits and other outlaws.
Namedides, the current king of Aquilonia, is a ruthless tyrant and dark rumors hold that he sends his bodyguards to assassinate his political enemies. Whether guarding the palace or in the field, Black Dragons wear this cuirass with faith in its protective value. And no man dares to show for muster with a spot of rust, lest they rouse the wrath of Pallantides.
