The Abysmal Remnant is a creature in Conan Exiles.
Description[]
A giant serpent that lives at the very bottom of The Dregs and is the Dungeon Boss. TeleportPlayer -137186 377572 -21973
Deep beneath the sewers of the Unnamed City lies a fat, disgusting serpent with dragon-like features and twenty independently-rotating eyes, which has been down there for an unknown period of time, while resting in a pool of acid it secretes.
Once you enter the sewers, you can hear sweet yet disturbing whispers calling and luring you in and set it free... Instead it plans to eat you.
The creature spews acid as a ranged attack and bites when you get too close.
During combat, it can lunge out of the acid pool to get close to you and start attacking.
After crushing the beast and seeing it slain before you, you can unlock the knowledge for Abysmal Arrows, Dredger, Abysmal Dagger, Abysmal Sword, and Reptile Leather by reading the book at the base of the acid pool. The acid will recede, allowing you to read it.
After you read the book, make sure to leave the acid pit, as the acid will rise again and harm/kill you. Making your loot irretrievable unless you kill the Remnant again. The beast can be harvested for certain resources in the aforementioned recipes.

Strategy[]
- Get close to the boss until it disappears in the acid bath. It will then lunge out of the pool at the player. Move in and attack until it returns to the acid pool. It's a good idea to target the boss manually rather than use the auto lock-on, as the lock on will target the base of the boss and tends to cause players to fall into the pool of acid.
- It will target a player with its ranged spit attacks. That player can then run in circles around the boss. It will get dizzy and sink down. The targeted player can run back to the stairs. When it flops out, all players can attack it freely. Repeat.
- A shield will block all damage.
- Regeneration items can prove useful during the fight, along with some materials to repair gear.
- It is possible to shoot the boss using a bow and arrows, using the wall at the stairs as cover.

- Recipes that are learned after the fight require level 10.
