It's a good idea to target the boss manually rather than use the auto lock-on, as the lock on will target the base of the boss and tends to cause players to fall into the pool of acid.
- It will target a player with its ranged spit attacks. That player can then run in circles around the boss. It will get dizzy and sink down. The targeted player can run back to the stairs. When it flops out, all players can attack it freely. Repeat.

- Regeneration items can prove useful during the fight, along with some materials to repair gear.
- It is possible to shoot the boss using a bow and arrows, using the wall at the stairs as cover.
